Few things are more magical than a winter engagement session — and Alexis & Mekenzie’s shoot at Buttermilk Falls Trail in Lehigh Gorge State Park was exactly that. Snowy forests, icy waterfalls, and warm laughter made this February session one for the books.

These two adventurous souls are getting married this fall at Blue Mountain Resort, but we couldn’t wait until October to capture their connection. And as soon as you see their smiles, you’ll understand why.

🏔️ About the Couple

Alexis and Mekenzie share more than just a wedding date — they also co-host a podcast called Spectral, where they dive into themes like mystery, folklore, and the paranormal. So it felt completely on brand to photograph them in a space as wild, wintery, and whimsical as Lehigh Gorge.

Their connection was effortless — one minute laughing in the snow, the next stealing quiet moments hand-in-hand beneath towering trees. Whether bundled in coats or repping their Eagles jerseys, they brought the kind of joy that’s contagious.

❄️ A Winter Hike & Frozen Waterfalls

We explored part of the Buttermilk Falls Trail, and despite the chill, Alexis and Mekenzie were ready for it all — snow angels, icy ledges, frozen falls, and even a little trekking through powder.

They started in cozy winter outfits perfect for snuggles and snowy kisses, and then for a fun twist, they swapped into Eagles jerseys to show off some serious team spirit. It was such a fun, personal moment that added even more character to an already unforgettable session.
